Our Story
Retro Games Plus was founded in 2008 and is an independent video game & collectibles store with 5 locations nationwide. 3 locations in Connecticut located in Norwalk, Orange and Newington and 2 locations in California located in Huntington Beach and Lawndale.
Retro Games Plus was created out of an avid love of video games and vintage toys. Our mission is to create a store that is a time capsule back to the vintage days of the 80s and 90s and that can rekindle the fond memories we have of that time period.
Each Retro Games Plus Store is a personalized experience that is a tribute to the classic games and collectibles that many of us grew up playing with and collecting. While today many games can be bought online we feel that being able to visit a store and talk about games and vintage collectibles, search for titles and get a guarantee on your games is something that should never go away.

We carry almost every type of system dating back to the original Odyssey, Intellivision and Atari up to the latest consoles of PS5, Xbox Series X and Switch. We also carry Vintage Action Figures, Collectibles, VHS/Media, Trading Cards (Pokemon, YuGiOh, Magic) Gundam Figures, Comics, Vintage T-Shirts, Accessories for all Games and more!

Retro Games Plus is dedicated to providing our customers with world class customer service. If you have any issues with any games we accept returns on defective games within 14 days and offer a 60 day warranty on all systems and accessories. We strive to offer the best customer service, pay the most for your items and offer you the lowest prices on games and collectibles.

Yes, we host many trade events and several conventions each year. Please check out our social feeds to make it to our next event. You can also visit us at the next annual SoCal Gaming Expo or RetroWorld Expo
Please bring your items to any store location during regular business hours for a trade quote. If you have a lot of items we may ask that you leave them with us for a period of time while we go through everything
Yes we give cash and or store credit for your items. Cash is always a little less than store credit. For large amounts we offer a business check we do not keep large quantities of cash at each store location
No at this time we do not do any repairs on consoles. We only do battery replacements for Gameboy and GBA games
We test all systems that are sold to us and offer a 60 day warranty on consoles and controllers.
We do not have enough time to test all of the thousands of games that are traded in, however, we offer a 14 day return policy. All disc based games are put through our disc resurfacer machine
No. We only offer store credit returns on all of our items. 60 day returns for consoles and controllers and 14 days for all games
