Retro Games Plus, founded in 2008 by owner Kris Krohn, is an independent video game and collectibles store.
From our humble beginnings in a 600-square-foot shop in Westport, CT, in 2011, we expanded to three more locations in Connecticut: Norwalk, Orange, and Newington.
In 2015 Retro World Expo was founded with partners and is an annual video game convention held in Hartford, CT.
Our first California location opened in Huntington Beach in 2018, followed by our Lawndale location in 2022.
In 2023, SoCal Gaming Expo, the largest retro gaming convention in Southern California, was purchased with a few partners.
Also, in 2023, the Pixel Podcast was formed, the Premiere Gaming Podcast in the country, which our owner is a part of.
Retro Games Plus was created from an avid love of video games and vintage toys and each store is a personalized experience that is a tribute to the classic games and collectibles many of us grew up playing with and collecting.
